Affording an SSDS EducationSolomon Schechter Day School guarantees an education to all students, regardless of family financial circumstances. Financial assistance is available. Tuition Payment OptionsWe appreciate the many choices that families face in order to provide their child with the best opportunities for learning and personal growth. To assist you in making an SSDS education possible, we provide a variety of Payment Plan Options. We also provide the opportunity to apply for Financial Assistance .
Schechter families Helping Advance Resources for Education Parents are contractually obligated to share operating costs through participation in our SHARE program. Each family will be responsible for raising funds in the amount of $1,000 per child in grades K-8 and $400 per child in Preschool. There will be a $2000 cap per family with multiple students at SSDS. Families with multiple children in the Preschool and who do not have children in Elementary or Middle School, have a cap of $550. Fifty percent of your obligation is due on or before December 31, 2008, and the remaining 50% is due prior to May 31, 2009.
ACTIVITY FEE This fee will cover all planned field trips and special programs including the 6th and 7th grade overnight trips and a portion of the 8th grade graduation trip to Israel.
PRESCHOOL 2 - 4 $125.00 PER CHILD GRADES K - 5 $225.00 PER CHILD MIDDLE SCHOOL GRADES 6-8 $400.00 PER CHILD
ISRAEL TRIP FUND FEE (In addition to tuition) This fund will be applied to help defray the cost of each student’s trip to Israel.
KINDERGARTEN $25.00 GRADES 1-4 $50.00 GRADES 5-8 $100.00
Before and Aftercare is available for all students, PS2 – Grade 8. Bus service is available to the Farmington Valley and East of the River. Please call the school for more information.
