Sophie, Class of 2025
In the morning, we all finished packing and loaded the bus. We first went to a goat farm and visited the goats—and tasted three different kinds of cheeses. (Editor’s note: we tasted a feta, a goat-cheese Camembert, and a firm, aged, non-moldy Tomme.) The last kind ended up being almost every one’s favorite.
After, we went back to the bus and drove to visit a woman from a Bedouin tribe. There we learned about daily life, problems, and laws in the tribe. She has devoted her life to raising the social status of women in her tribe.
We headed back to the bus and each of us were excited about riding the camels. When we did it was really fun and when the ride was over, I didn’t want to stop! A lot of us gave the camels names, and my friend and I named our camel “Sunny.” Then, after dinner we made a fire and told jokes, riddles, and scary stories by it. Now we’re going to bed in one big tent and I’m sure we won’t end up getting any sleep.
