It was our last morning at the Eyal Hotel in Jerusalem. To start the day, we did a quick tefillah, had a quick breakfast, rolled out our suitcases and loaded them onto the bus. We then started our drive to Tel Aviv.
On the drive we had to make a quick stop at a local gas station because the IDF sent a preliminary warning that the Houthis had launched a missile. In the end, the missiles were not headed anywhere near us, so there were no actual sirens, and we continued our drive. We eventually arrived at the Tel Aviv beach, and spent a couple of hours playing in the cool water and warm sun.
After that, we switched to a more serious topic. We met up with around 10 injured IDF soldiers and got to know them. Most of them were injured in Gaza and Lebanon. It was important to hear their side of the story on the war. Some of the injuries were visible, while others were not physical injuries. We then checked into our hotel and had a good dinner. To finish the day, we walked around and had some fun in Jaffa.
